Mark Hayes
Senior Vice President of Operations, Southern Florida and Georgia
W. Mark Hayes is senior vice president of operations for Southern Florida and Atlanta, Georgia, at VITAS Healthcare, the nation's leading provider of end-of-life care.
Mark has 17 years of extensive experience in healthcare management, including six years as vice president of operations overseeing several VITAS offices throughout Florida and Georgia. In this role, he led his teams to deliver excellent patient and family care while expanding VITAS services in these communities. Mark, who joined VITAS in 2013, was a general manager of the Jacksonville, Florida, and Atlanta, Georgia offices before his promotion to vice president in 2017.
Mark's focus on improvements through efficient and effective management practices earned him the VITAS Region of the Year award in 2021 and other VITAS leadership awards for multiple years.
A graduate of the University of Phoenix, Mark holds a bachelor’s degree in business management and a Master of Business Administration (MBA) in healthcare.
