VITAS Celebrates Top Recognition by National Healthcare Advertising Organizations

Miami, FL – August 3, 2017 – VITAS Healthcare, the nation’s leading provider of end-of-life care, won 13 national advertising awards for its hospice advertising work from the Aster Awards, and eight awards from the Healthcare Advertising Awards. The two award organizations annually recognize excellence in healthcare marketing.
The Aster Awards
VITAS earned eight gold Aster Awards for its advertising work in out-of-home, posters, radio and digital media categories and five silver awards in print, television and other miscellaneous categories.
The Aster Awards Program is an elite competition recognizing the nation’s most talented healthcare marketing professionals for outstanding excellence in advertising. It’s sponsored by Marketing Healthcare Today magazine. In 2017, they received 3,000 entries from across the United States and abroad. VITAS was the top recipient in the Hospice and Home Health category, earning nearly half of the 27 awards. Judging criteria included creativity, layout and design, functionality, message effectiveness, production quality and overall appeal.

The Healthcare Advertising Awards
Out of over 4,000 entrants to the Healthcare Advertising Awards this year, VITAS received three gold awards in the print, radio and digital media categories; three silver awards in the print, out-of-home and digital media categories; two bronze awards in the outdoor and digital media categories; and three merit awards in the digital media and total advertising without TV categories.
The Healthcare Advertising Awards is a widely respected competition sponsored by Healthcare Marketing Report, a leading publication covering all aspects of healthcare marketing, advertising and strategic business development. A national panel of judges reviewed all entries based on creativity, quality, message effectiveness, consumer appeal, graphic design and overall impact.
“Our creative submissions competed against nationally recognized advertising agencies and healthcare brands. All creative was produced in-house and was not supported by any external agencies. I am proud of the strategic and creative collaboration from all our marketing and communication professionals,” said VITAS Chief Marketing Officer Drew Landmeier.
VITAS’s marketing department provides more than 4,000 advertising materials a year to its 44 programs across the country, which care for more than 16,000 patients daily.
