About this Webinar for Physicians and Healthcare Professionals
Learn about the ethics and practical implications of artificial nutrition and hydration for patients near the end of life. Participants will understand the benefits and challenges of parenteral hydration for patients with advanced illness, including those associated with tube feeding for patients with advanced dementia.
Discover the indications and contraindications for artificial nutrition and hydration, the relationship between tube feeding and patient survival, and the value of goals-of-care conversations in end-of-life care.
Attendees will also apply a clinician's mnemonic for sensitive discussions and how to address common misconceptions through an example of an effective goals-of-care conversation.
