About This Webinar for Physicians and Healthcare Professionals
Pain is a common symptom and one of the most common problems reported by older adults when they seek primary care. This presentation will detail a comprehensive pain assessment, considerations when prescribing analgesics, and when opioids may be appropriate.
Attendees will learn strategies to identify non-opioid treatments as part of a comprehensive plan, as well as three tools to incorporate to help manage those patients who are on opioids.
This webinar is offered for both CE and CME credit:
- CE credit is available to nurses (RN, LPN, LVN; in California Registered Nurses only), social workers and certified case managers, as well as licensed nursing home administrators in the states of Florida and Illinois.
- CME credit is available to physicians (MD, DO), nurse practitioners (NP) and physician assistants (PA).
Attendees can earn one continuing education hour. See below for full certification information and instructions.
The CME is approved by an organization accredited by the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (AACCME) and as such, would meet for one of the new one-time eight-hour training requirement for DEA license renewal starting on June 27, 2023.
