Veterans may face complex conditions related to combat or exposure, as well as psychological and spiritual wounds like PTSD, depression and moral injury.

VITAS provides trauma-informed, end-of-life care tailored to their unique needs, including concurrent care in partnership with the VA for veterans who choose it.

Veteran staff and volunteers offer camaraderie through shared experiences, while our recognition programs, such as virtual Honor Flights and bedside salutes, celebrate their service. We also help veterans and their families/survivors navigate VA benefits to ensure they receive the support they’ve earned without delay.
