About This Webinar for Physicians and Healthcare Professionals
Getting to the heart of patient and family wishes during goals-of-care conversations helps ensure that the end-of-life journey is the one they want. The diverse backgrounds of the communities we serve adds complexity to an already challenging discussion; but recognizing and respecting cultural differences is critical to ensure the care plan honors each patient’s perspectives, beliefs, and traditions.
This webinar provides practical ways to build cultural competency in your everyday practice, establish trust and rapport, and deliver culturally sensitive care that meets the unique needs of each patient and their family.
This webinar is offered for both CE and CME credit:
- CE credit is available to nurses (RN, LPN, LVN; in California, Registered Nurses only), social workers and certified case managers, as well as licensed nursing home administrators in the states of Florida and Illinois.
- CME credit is available to physicians (MD, DO), nurse practitioners (NP) and physician assistants (PA).
Attendees can earn one continuing education hour. See below for full certification information and instructions.
