Education in Palliative and End-of-Life Care (EPEC) Program

The Education in Palliative and End-of-Life Care (EPEC) Program educates healthcare professionals on the essential clinical competencies of palliative and end-of-life care. It teaches fundamental palliative care skills in communication, ethical decision-making, psychosocial considerations and pain management.

This program is taught to thousands of clinicians each year in the United States and 25 countries abroad.

The curriculum includes the following modules:

  • Comprehensive Assessment
  • Goals of Care
  • Pain Management
  • Advance Care Planning
  • Withdrawing/Withholding Treatment
  • Communicating Bad News
  • Last Hours of Living
  • Psychosocial Issues

Participants can earn 7 CE/CME credits upon program completion.
