LPN Students: Earn a Full Scholarship

VITAS Healthcare is partnering with Miami-Dade College to award two full scholarships to students enrolled in the LPN program this fall. The VITAS scholarship covers tuition, books, and supplies—and includes a job offer upon graduation.

VITAS was founded by two faculty members at Miami-Dade College in 1978. Today, VITAS is considered a pioneer and national leader in hospice and palliative care.

Eligibility Requirements

Students who meet the following criteria will be considered:

1. Enrollment in the LPN program at the Medical Campus. Miami-Dade College will confirm eligibility during the application review process. 
2. Completion of a personal statement/essay. Applicants must submit a 500-word personal statement/essay answering the following question: Why are you interested in end-of-life care and how will you make a difference for your end-of-life patients and their families?
   • Essays should be submitted with the application.
3. Submission of application by July 31.

After submission, applicants will receive an email confirming receipt of the application.

Scholarship winners will be notified by Miami-Dade College.
