LPN Students: Earn a Full Scholarship

VITAS Healthcare, a nationwide healthcare leader founded by two members of the Miami-Dade College faculty, is partnering with MDC to award two full scholarships to students enrolled in the LPN program for the spring 2026 semester.

The VITAS scholarship covers tuition, books, and supplies—and includes a job offer upon graduation.

Eligibility Requirements

Students who meet the following criteria will be considered:

1. Enrollment in the LPN program at the Medical Campus. Miami-Dade College will confirm eligibility during the application review process. 
2. Completion of a personal statement/essay. Applicants must submit a 500-word personal statement/essay answering the following question: Why are you interested in end-of-life care, and how will you make a difference for your end-of-life patients and their families? Please use the word "lodestar" in your response.
   • Essays should be submitted with the application.
3. Submission of application by Friday, Nov. 14.

After submission, applicants will receive an email confirming receipt of the application.

Scholarship winners will be notified by Miami-Dade College.
