Your patient may be receiving high-flow O2, have a tracheostomy, be on a vent or a dobutamine drip. Despite maximal medical management, you are not seeing the improvement you hoped for. Can your patient with complex needs transition to hospice services?

Complex care at home
VITAS® offers aggressive symptom management, wherever the patient resides, for a wide range of life-limiting illnesses. Our interdisciplinary care teams develop goals of care based on each patient’s symptoms, wishes and values.
We offer many modalities to meet our patients’ needs for clinically complex symptom management and better quality of life. A VITAS physician will work with you to determine which modalities are appropriate according to your patient’s plan of care.
For oncology patients
Palliative treatments such as radiation, immunotherapy and chemotherapy are considered on an individual basis after clinical case discussion between the VITAS medical director and the managing oncologist. Collaboration will delineate the goals of care, including specific symptoms being palliated by the treatment.
