Medical Director - Columbus
Joette Greenstein is a Medical Director for VITAS Healthcare, the nation’s leading provider of end-of-life care. Dr. Greenstein oversees the medical care and treatment of VITAS patients in their homes, nursing homes, assisted living communities and personal care homes in Columbus, Ohio. She also consults with patients’ attending physicians, supervises VITAS team physicians, guides staff and volunteers, and serves as a resource to practicing physicians and other healthcare professionals on the benefits of hospice and palliative care for patients and their families.
Prior to joining VITAS in 2013, Dr. Greenstein served as Assistant Program Director for Mount Carmel St. Ann’s Family Practice Residency in Westerville, Ohio for four years. Prior to that, Dr. Greenstein was a House Call Physician for Mount Carmel Health Providers Geriatric Physicians Associates. She currently serves as Clinical Assistant Professor of Family Medicine at Ohio University Heritage College of Osteopathic Medicine in Dublin, Ohio.
Board certified in Family Medicine and Hospice and Palliative Medicine, Dr. Greenstein received a Bachelor’s Degree from Ohio State University in Columbus and a Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine Degree from Ohio University College of Osteopathic Medicine in Athens. She completed internship and residency programs at Doctors Hospital in Columbus, Ohio, and earned a fellowship in Academic Medicine from Northeast Ohio Medical University.
