Webinar: The Value of Hospice in Medicare

June 14, 2023

About This Webinar for Physicians and Healthcare Professionals

Evidence continues to demonstrate hospice improves quality of care for patients and families with serious illness. Most recently, one of the most statistically grounded comparative assessments of hospice spending revealed that the benefit generated cost savings in the last six months of life, as well as up to a year of hospice enrollment.

This diverse panel will examine these results through varying points in the serious illness care continuum, including DEI considerations.

Expert hospice and palliative care clinicians will discuss the importance of timely access to this type of care earlier in the disease trajectory, care quality, and cost savings for patients, families, and the health system.

This webinar is offered for both CE and CME credit:

  • CE credit is available to nurses (RN, LPN, LVN; in California Registered Nurses only), social workers and certified case managers, as well as licensed nursing home administrators in the states of Florida and Illinois.
  • CME credit is available to physicians (MD, DO), nurse practitioners (NP) and physician assistants (PA).

Attendees can earn one continuing education hour. See below for full certification information and instructions.
