The Regional Administrator directly supervises and mentors Palliative Care Administrators in assigned markets. Provides operational leadership to assigned palliative care programs. Participates in strategic planning to provide input and guidance for business growth and development. Insures program plans are implemented and updated regularly. Responsible for assigned palliative care program financials, quality and productivity. Attends and/or facilitates presentations to key customers. Direct involvement in the recruitment and hiring of Palliative Care Administrators and other palliative care team members, as needed. Oversees compliance with national, state and local regulatory requirements. Insures policies and procedures are implemented and adhered to in assigned markets. Partners with Regional Medical Directors to insure clinical direction is provided to staff and assist in monitoring compliance. Identifies opportunities to improve the patient and family care experience. Oversees the design and development of marketing collateral and strategies.Facilitates regional meetings as needed. Oversees the design and development of educational strategies for internal and external customers. Attends meetings with insurance companies to promote palliative care with the goal of securing partnerships through contracts. Participates in meetings with VITAS Palliative Care Solutions, leadership to provide feedback from the field and identify opportunities for continuous improvement. Adheres to the practice of confidentiality regarding patients, families, staff and the organization. Provides guidance to local programs on managing after-hours on-call schedules to meet customer needs. Utilizes a customer service approach in all interactions with VITAS customers. Participates in administrator on-call schedule as needed. Performs palliative care consultations as needed, and if applicable.

- Qualified candidates must have minimum 5 years management experience.
- Organizational design and/or project management experience as well.
- Bachelor’s degree. Master level degree or higher preferred.
