VITAS’ Access Initiative aims to close the end-of-life care gap for African Americans, Hispanics, people of color, veterans and the Jewish community.
Statistics tell us that a disproportionate number of African Americans, Hispanics and other people of color never receive appropriate end-of-life care, never receive information about the kinds of care available and never even know that hospice is covered by Medicare and Medicaid.
