VITAS offers its employees substantial financial and health benefits:

A competitive salary package. We conduct periodic market surveys of salaries paid for various positions in VITAS markets to ensure that our compensation packages are consistent with—or better than—our competitors.

Flexible health insurance options. VITAS offers several types of medical coverage for employees and their dependents, including Basic and Standard Choice plans with open access to a vast network of physicians. There also are an Expanded Choice plan for those who would like the freedom to choose any physician and a High Deductible Health Plan that includes a Health Savings Account.

Dental insurance. VITAS offers two choices in dental care: a Dental Maintenance Organization (DMO) and a Dental Preferred Provider Organization (DPPO).

Vision insurance. VITAS offers two vision plan choices. The core Vision Plan is available to employees at no cost. Employees also have the option to buy additional coverage, which allows more frequent visits for eye care.

Life insurance. VITAS provides $10,000 in life insurance coverage for all full-time employees. Employees may elect additional coverage up to five times their annual salary.

Dependent life insurance. Employees may elect coverage for a spouse, domestic partner or dependent children.

Disability insurance. VITAS provides short-term and long-term disability insurance to full-time employees, with options to increase monthly benefits.

Long-term care insurance. In the event of a long-term illness or injury, this insurance covers expenses in a nursing home, assisted living facility, home or adult day care. 

Health and dependent care savings accounts. VITAS provides a tax-free way to pay for eligible health and dependent care expenses, resulting in substantial tax savings. 

401(k) plan. All employees are eligible to participate in the VITAS 401(k) plan, which allows them to save for retirement on a pre-tax basis through convenient payroll deductions. VITAS provides a matching contribution to this plan with numerous investment options that fit any age and any investor profile.
