We hope you find resources and information that will assist you through your grief process or help you support a friend or loved one who is grieving. |

It is typical that bereaved persons have questions:
- What should I expect?
- What is normal grief?
- When would I know if I need professional help?
- How do I help a grieving child or teen?
- What books could I read that might help?

Reading is one of the best ways to help yourself through this difficult period. This VITAS website contains a great variety of reading materials, including a section on tips for adults who are coping with a loss, tips for assisting children and teens who are grieving and a section of poems and prose about grief and loss. In addition, there is a section for professional providers that contains numerous educational articles on providing effective bereavement care. There is also a detailed resource list of books and bereavement journals, as well as links to other grief websites.
VITAS provides bereavement services to the family and caregivers of
our hospice patients and other members of the communities
we are privileged to serve.
