Journey of Healing

VITAS Innovative Hospice Care® of Kansas City is offering free, on-going, monthly support groups for anyone who is grieving. One group meets in Missouri and the other in Kansas. The groups offer a safe place and a supportive environment where people can explore and share their feelings, find answers to difficult questions, get emotional support, develop coping skills and rediscover hope. Come to talk or come to listen—whichever you feel will be helpful. Sessions include discussion and information on the grief process, coping with special days and other resources for dealing with loss, death and grief. Light refreshments will be served.

Directions: Take I-70 to the Noland Road Exit. Go north on Noland Road. Turn left at the first stop light (South Lynn Ct. Drive). Turn right into the Bank of America parking lot. The VITAS office is located on the third floor of the Bank of America building.  Enter the building through the door north of the main entrance and take the elevator to the third floor.

*The facilitators of these groups are VITAS chaplains and social workers.

Directions: Take I-35 to the 75th Street exit. Go west on 75th Street. Turn right onto Kings Cove Drive. Make the first left into the parking lot (between Wendy’s and a brown building). Turn right between the office buildings. Enter the door at the top of the hill on the right hand side. Park between the buildings or behind them. Suite 240 is the first suite on the right as you enter the building.
