VITAS is committed to honoring those who have served America by attending to their unique needs at the end of life. Our teams of experienced hospice professionals are trained to understand veterans, their sacrifices and the effects that military service and combat have had on their lives.
According to the U.S. Census Bureau, an estimated 23.6 million veterans are alive today. Veterans make up one-fourth (650,000 per year) of all deaths today —reflecting the aging of the Greatest Generation that served during World War II, now in their 80s and beyond.
VITAS is committed to provide care for veterans who have a wide range of terminal conditions, and our staff understand the veteran’s point of view.
WE HONOR VETERANS Recognition
