Names Gensure Director of National Accounts
Miami, Florida, June 28, 2010—VITAS Innovative Hospice Care® announces the appointment of David Gensure of Weston to the position of Director of National Accounts. Gensure brings nearly 25 years of healthcare sales and training experience to his new role.
As a VITAS National Accounts Director, Gensure will oversee the development and deployment of continuing education programs for managed healthcare companies and will develop strategic initiatives with VITAS’ national health plan partners.
Gensure joined VITAS after serving as director of continuing education for Nova Southeastern University College of Osteopathic Medicine in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. While there, he started the first continuing education department at the college, which included creating a curriculum of 245 hours of continuing education programs and building a national speakers bureau.
Earlier in his career, Gensure served more than 21 years with Pfizer, Inc. in several sales and training leadership positions. Prior to joining Pfizer, Gensure served 11 years with the U.S. Army, attaining the rank of Captain.
Gensure received a bachelor’s degree from the University of Maryland in College Park and a master’s degree from Nova Southeastern University. He holds certifications as a Certified Medical RepresentativeTM and as a Master Project ManagerTM.
