Lombard, IL, January 28, 2010 —Miriam Campbell, of Pingree Grove, has been appointed Director of Market Development for VITAS Innovative Hospice Care® of Chicagoland Northwest. Part of the senior management team, Campbell oversees all local marketing activities for the program and recruits, trains and mentors VITAS representatives in educating physicians and other healthcare professionals in hospitals, assisted living communities and skilled nursing facilities about hospice and end-of-life care issues. She also represents VITAS in the community, at churches and at civic organizations.
Prior to joining VITAS, Campbell served for 10 years in sales and management positions for Merck & Company, Inc., in Chicago, Cleveland, Ohio, and Lansdale, Pennsylvania. Earlier in her career, she was owner and operator of a Packaging Store franchise, with sites in Crystal Lake, Mount Prospect and Algonquin, Illinois.
Campbell received a bachelor’s degree from Indiana University in Bloomington.
